Ganga Narayanan's artworks serve as a chronicle of her inner journey towards discovering her identity amid a myriad of cultures. Through the medium of watercolor, she captures the ambivalence that resides within her cultural identity, with its fluidity mirroring the graceful dance of life and the artistry needed to fit into a space. Yet, the opaqueness of gouache reminds us of the constraints that come with embracing a particular culture. In her series, 'Displaced,' everyday objects seem out of place in their surroundings, highlighting the struggle of finding one's sense of belonging.
