One of the most famous artists to paint bulls was the Spanish painter Pablo Picasso. Another famous artist who painted bulls was the Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh, who created a series of bullfighting scenes during his time in the south of France.
M. F Husain also created a famous work called ‘Bulls’ that was the cover of a famous monograph of his and was recently featured in Sotheby’s Modern and Contemporary South Asian Auction, March 2023. Another artist known specifically for his horse and bull paintings was the artist Sunil Das Das whose ability to capture the movement, muscularity, and fierce determination of the animals is what distinguishes and makes his works instantly recognizable. Notable artist such as F.N. Souza K.K. Hebbar, Jatin Das, and Ganesh Pyne also featured bulls as their subjects.
