The son of an art teacher, he grew up in Benadi, a sleepy village in Belgaum, bordering Maharashtra. Creating evocative paintings that display his stunning skills with watercolour, his favourite medium, Hiremath’s skill with the brush has brought him accolades galore— from the world over.
