About Sushil Soni

I do not cling on to paint just in the traditional style of Pichwai, in fact I keep on experimenting with this traditional form of art by giving it hints of my personality and other western styles. Also, I willfully employ diverse techniques and mediums for the same. However, I particularly enjoy creating intricate details in the paintings of this style. This has not only kept the ancient style of Pichwai art alive but it has also made it more fascinating by broadening its scope for the other artists.

Sushil Soni is a Rajasthani artist who is very well recognized nationwide for his mastery over traditional Pichwai style of painting, Soni had developed a keen interest in learning Pichwai since his early childhood days under the guidance of his father. In addition, he obtained a degree in Drawing and Painting from Nathdwara College. He is a recipient of many state level awards and has participated in various exhibitions, camps and workshops all over the country. His work has also been regarded in high esteem by the Government of Rajasthan for keeping alive the long-established style of painting and moreover, making it popular so much so that it started to be explored by many other artists.
