About Shruti Parekh
Shruti Parekh's works emerge from the need to capture that fleeting moment, before it fades away, suggesting that things are in a constant flux of change. Mainly an exploration of form, space and lines, the constant tension between what is gone and what is about to come interests her. The transparency of the medium interests her in forming thin layers of paint one above another and creating unusual forms that suggest uncertainty. The cycle of growth, decay and regrowth and of construction and deconstruction remains core to her works.
