About Samir Sarkar
Born on 9th July 1969
A dreamy utopian world and people adorned with different makes of headgear, Samir Sarkar conveys the duality of human nature through his works. With powerful colours, his acrylic tempera paintings reveal the impact his childhood had on him; frequent travel led him to have deep insights into human communication and behaviour reflecting in the relationships of his forms. Inspired by Egyptian paintings, his forms are long and bold. Deeply attached to the subjects he paints, he creates an environment he yearns to live in himself.
