About Pramod Reddy

Born on 10th October 1972

Indian Epic tales have fascinated me since childhood and it provides me with great pleasure to be able to depict these tales of heroism and spirituality through colours and paintbrush. Mythological figures such as Krishna, Hanuman, Narasimha and Vishnu are a very significant part of my works. These figures are highlighted through texts and other smaller pictures in the background on the canvas. Moreover, I try to use different textures for the main image to further accentuate its appeal and give it a theatrical twist. Furthermore, well defined lines and colour patches affix yet another dimension to its visual charm.

Pramod Reddy draws profound inspiration from Hindu mythology, weaving together the rich history, enigmatic characters, and timeless stories into his vibrant works. Coming from an orthodox family, Pramod begins his day with traditional rituals of pooja and paat, a practice that deeply influences his creative process. He views his art as both work and worship, a spiritual extension of his daily devotion.

Through his unique style, Pramod captures the essence of mythological narratives using a blend of vivid colors, intricate line drawings, and ancient Vedic scripts. His layered compositions are not only a homage to the past but also a dialogue with the present and future generations. Each painting is an exploration of how mythology resonates with modern science and contemporary life, making his work both timeless and relevant.
