About Nilisha Phad
Through her art, Nilisha Phad weaves a tale of the body, narrating the experiences of existence and presence. The human form, with all its unique traits and personality, holds a special fascination for her, and she attempts to capture the diverse impressions that people leave on her mind through the juxtaposition of simultaneous representations. Nilisha’s art is a reflection of her deep philosophical contemplations about the realities faced by women in society. As she encounters women from all walks of life, their personal struggles with objectification, body shaming, gender discrimination, and inequality become a common emotional thread that connects her to them empathetically. Through her work, she creates a dialogue for those untold stories, preserving them in the corners of her memory and imagination.
