About Anand Panchal
Born on 11th October 1973
Capturing the sublime spirit of the Indian culture and tradition, Artist Anand Panchal unravels stories of the mythology and the quiet simple living of the rural life through his paintings. A lyrical figurative artist, Mumbai-based Anand paints stylized soft figures enriched by graceful flowing outlines and set on textured abstract backgrounds. His serene and mystical paintings are dominated by bold primary colours of brilliant reds and blues complemented by dull ochres, browns, and greys. Much of his artistic inspiration was derived from Western masters of impressionism like Rembrandt, Gauguin, and Renoir during his academic days at J.J. School of Art.
